Katastrophentag
It was the shit in the Tour de France, which has not even started, and then the German players also win against the Argentines. Shitty day on the line. There's only one thing: all hear loud Depeche Mode.

Double Ballon Tour of Freiburg ADFC
The ADFC Freiburg will host each year, several guided road bike (and MTB and family) trips into the wider environment and some of Freiburg. I had already participated last year at two such tours (Tour to the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen and route of Crêtes tour) and found both times that these tours very well organized are and make a lot of fun because you can drive long trips in the company of like-minded people that you would not go alone either, or to place only under much more effort would be reached. In addition, these tours make for me is a welcome opportunity to travel in the course of my preparation for various marathons (especially in view of the Ötztal Radmarathon ) long distances beyond 200 km. This year was so they called "double Ballon Tour" on the map, it should be approached first of the Grand Ballon in the Vosges mountains, it should then go on to the Black Forest Sirnitz Belchen. At 8
clock on Sunday morning met at approximately 16 road cyclists (and a road bike activist) in the district of Freiburg St. Georgen to 250km around 3500Hm to be addressed. Also hobby team RIG Freiburg was represented by Udo, Matthias and the author of three riders; Lance and Roberto were for obscure reasons, not the start (the conjecture about the absence of the two went, then as a result towards alcohol-related deficits of second round game of the German national football team on the day before ....). Ingo was no excuse, but he had decided to take the Albextrem the 250km round of attack.
At about quarter past eight starts then: the first Tuniberg to Breisach, thence across the Rhine France. In France, we are going through countless villages, whose names I do not remember me, on the Col du Bannstein (delicious: France is available on every hill a sign "Col de xy") it goes into the climb to the Grand balloon. Meanwhile, there's already eingermaßen warm, and a final well is at the foot of the increase used for filling the beverage reserves. The exact length of the rise I do not have in mind, but with a little downhill and the flat area behind Le Markstein it will probably have been already so 18km. In the last two kilometers, then comes even a little "Tour de France" feeling, but everywhere one reads the Anfeuerungsschriftzüge on the road that used to be last year's Tour de France. After about 90 total miles the (unfortunately terribly built) mountain pass of the Grand is achieved balloon; in located there guest house, we gain our first with a serving of spaghetti (one should explain the French, even in that pasta in salt water boils) and a Cola. After about 45 minutes break, then go to the exit: a really fast downhill with long sweeping corners that require a lot of courage. Over the Col Amic it goes into a short uphill section, before further descent after Uffholtz. Meanwhile in the valley just over 32 degrees is reached, Matthias' Hac shows in the sun at even 36 degrees! What follows is a leisurely drive towards the Rhine and the German border that is happening in Neuchâtel. The speedometer now shows 150km to the south and are piling on the forerunners of a mighty storm. Udo Matthias and decide here in the company of two other drivers a direct route to Freiburg to take, would go the full round them to be late. For the rest of the group we head home, and garbage Badenweiler, where the second major climb of the day should be addressed: the ascent to Albeck. Unfortunately, the pace of the group slept on the way to Badenweiler almost a complete, so that Stefan and I inform the tour leader Jürgen, we down would, as we would all take too long. We quickly put some distance between us and the group. A few drivers close up again, but leave a short time later demolished again. Including a very special friend of mine hehe (I always wanted to go on the mountain from the shoes ;-)). The three of us to come up on the mountain, waiting for just a fourth. The other two decide to wait, but the rest of the group, while Stefan and I decide to continue on the second. Over the short ascent at Wembach it comes down to Schönau into the meadow, from where we have three options for the way home to Freiburg: the intended route of Aitern to Ballon and exits the corner Wiedener the Münster, Utzenfeld about to re-turn through the corner and Munster or Todtnau, cry and Schauinsland. We choose the route through Aitern, but leaving out the side road to Belchen house: the weather is always threatening and also Stefan's legs are very pleased with the idea about these additional savings 300Hm. I myself use the increase as a test of what my legs after 200 kilometers and two relatively quickly driven mountains (especially on Sirnitz I was pretty fast on the road) give more so; I must say I am very satisfied and look quite confident on the marathon that there will still be ( Ötztal and probably still La Marmotte ). Unfortunately, it takes during the rise and is threatening more and more dark and just before the apex of the increase in the first raindrops fall. In the exit of the corner Wiedener it always starts to rain violently to flashing around us and thundered like mad. Thanks to the wind, which is mainly in the descent from behind, we reach speeds that are otherwise impossible to achieve on Wiedener corner. Since it is not, fortunately starts to pour with rain as is, at least for me the rain somewhat pleasant, but he makes for a bit of cooling in a (to me) hot day. The last 40 kilometers from the corner to complete Wiedener Freiburg, we then in a timely trip even if the legs are then but now somewhat empty. After about eleven hours, of 9h 10min pure driving time, we achieve both Freiburg and look forward to a warm bath and something delicious to eat.
was mentioned, the pure drive 9h 10min for 248km, an average speed of around 27km / h. Thanks for the omission of swerving to Belchen house the total altitude of the tour amount to 3200HM. Overall it was a successful Sunday, the ADFC tours are really just, even if in particular the "Route of Crêtes" tour last year landscape more attractive.

season win number 1
OK, it was "only" an agreed internal race, but winning is always nice, especially if it is able to attack at the exact spot and go to the box apart, which I had previously selected for it.
But first things first: after the first race had finished our internal club racing series but with a slightly disappointing third place for me, I had for the second race but with somewhat higher. With 900 meters spread over 66 km and a total of three long climbs, I had the opposite route and more. After starting the journey to the first pitch was initially relatively slowly, slowly down the road was steep, the pace was still in a very pleasant area. In the first climb I rode from the front to be able to control the tempo in the first place. Since I was into it down rather quickly in the mountain, I was quite surprised that up to two or three drivers (and driver) were all still together. The next few kilometers were marked by two half-hearted attacks of individual drivers, but they were both short-Dazer. In the first long downhill then rolled it all back together. Then we had to sneak past us once in a Corpus Christi procession. This was followed by two short, but crisp waves, at the second, I really wanted to test just once, what goes on, but suddenly found myself just still in the company of another driver a few yards from the "field". As I signaled to my companions that he saw no sense in it now to drive (it was not even half-way completed), I took the legs back up and we could catch up with us again. Finally, the longest and most difficult of the three pitches are coming soon. On average, not particularly steep, but still the possibility of an attack already under the mountain top to a nice lead in driving out the rich could to the finish, especially since it followed immediately went into a downhill and then followed the last increase. So my idea in the run had been so tried I am with a departure at least most of my companions are going on. First of three drivers could follow my departure: Jan alias alias Lance German champions, and Ingo Matthias, ie the complete Ötzi Force (only Sebastian was missing due to illness). But soon Ingo could no longer follow and Matt had to follow his difficulties only in January alias alias Lance hung German masters such as chewing gum on my rear wheel. That was good, as a couple, we had more chances, after all, were to drive around 25km. Matt was hanging all the time just a few yards behind us, but even if we were out front a little, he managed not to close the hole. So then Jan went alias alias German champion Lance and the author alias Chiappucci alias Italian champion in the downhill, the following flat section we were able to take turns well, the next increase then took over again, I most of the leadership, a (in retrospect perhaps somewhat half-heartedly put forward attack) did not lead to preliminary decision, Sun that Jan alias alias Lance German champion and the author alias alias Chiappucci Italian masters, the last exit and the next flat section for two measures in attack. With a brief departure, I could then issue about 500m before the finish of my companion, and drove safely home the victory. In third position came as expected but not Matt finish, but Ingo Thomas, Matt had accomplished the feat to get lost, and thus given away a total of four positions. Next time we are waiting for you, Matt. I promise!
;-) After that we went to train about three hours down. The (training) day, Matthias and I can then with a cold wheat beer and the first half, Ecuador and Costa Rica finish in the beer garden. By this time, was the frustration of giving away the third place in Matthew also subsided somewhat ....

Wrestling Milena Vs Miosotis
strange day with a good end
Somehow it was a strange day today, yesterday I had not a very great desire to torment me on the bike, and today I am then woke up again with the feeling that today I just do not have the head to torment me about the pain limit. No conditions if it is a 54km long team time trial to dispute. And so I was on the way to Sulz at Lauffenburger in Switzerland (yes, we were once again traveling in Switzerland) to denote not necessarily as a great joker. Also, the encouragement of my three colleagues Sebastian, Matthew and Thomas could not build me so well. And so then ran the race: the legs were good, to be exact, actually, pretty good, but the head did not fit on the legs: the pain was there, where she is also in training, and usually I can in the competition quite well over this limit torture, but today's was not somehow. The track consisted of a 27km-long round, which was twice to drive, mostly along the Rhine, with a 2km long climb towards the finish. The wind was now a bigger problem than the profile: permanently changing the wind direction and hit us again and again by other sites. The first round went very well, at the beginning we only had to find our rhythm a little bit, but then it went pretty well. The first round we completed in about 39min. Receipt of the second round we were overtaken by the later first-place team, four minutes we had got so already lost once (in the end it should be almost six). In the second Lap it was then Matthew and me, the slightly greater time drivers in the team the pace hold up, in particular Matthew was so good that I every time he to me, took the lead, heavy on the "chewing" was to keep the connection or to find all over again. Another team that was certainly a game started later (and only one lap completed), brought us in, but then it went back and forth time we were ahead, then we had to meet again can pass, depending on who in the various teams just performed the leadership. Rise from the finish we managed to get this crew up for good. Increase in the target I then took the lead, and for the first time I was a little beyond the Schmergrenze, in a show of strength I pulled my two remaining companions Sebastian and Matt finish (Thomas had discussed in his last tour before the final climb, where everything and then feared, let rip, as usual, the third driver for the period considered). At the end of a journey time of 1h 18min 10s was to beech (average 41.5 km / h), which meant for sixth place in the 14-team starting place. But a very satisfactory result.
then drove Matthias, Sebastian and I were cycling through the beautiful Albtal to St. Blaise where we have the day with a beautiful Piece of cake left end, before we return to Thomas got into the car to the rest of the way to Freiburg motorized to put behind us. I were still a bit further down the dial, but no one was able to motivate more and then somehow I lack the desire (or willingness to torture me yet). Somehow I felt and still not at full capacity, despite 54km team time trial and just under 100km in total, must be somehow related to my weird mind of today.
Here are some pictures (thanks to my father):

Getting Rid Of Chilblains
The best day of the year ...
is ... the one where one road cycling for the first time in shorts and short shirt can go even a minor hobby cyclists has given of himself. Today, this day was doubly nice, it was all about the last World Cup-free Day. So those last day before a shutdown of the collective - if any - remaining mind takes place, and degenerated an entire nation to a black-red-golden jubilee mass. I really enjoyed it, that day.

Poem The Lonely Soul Of Africa
Gromit in The Number 19
was after all Trainigskilometern and shorter Jedermannrennen it yesterday then so far, with the GP Schwarzwald was a real endurance test on the way to the big highlight of the season "Ötztal Bike Marathon" on the program: 180km through the Black Forest with almost 3600 meters, including the supposedly most severe increase in the Black Forest, the candelabra. The track is really two-fold: while standing in the first half with Kandel and Thurner increases the longer the program, features the second half with a "sawtooth", which swings the whole time range between 800m and 1000m above sea level, the increases are not more than 2-3km, but common enough to allow a angeknockten to give the driver the rest. Especially in this second part, I had great respect for the run, especially since I knew him only partially (the first part I was well aware of my training runs). The winning time of last year was 6h 14min, so that we (my club-mate Matt and I) had set ourselves a time under 6 hours 30 minutes and a placing in the top 5 to 10 as target.
But now into the live report from the GP Schwarzwald:
When leaving Freiburg Triberg direction the weather is cloudy, but dry. We (Udo, Matthias and I) are on our way. Shortly after Waldkirch it starts to rain and the first participants of the big box Mountain Tour (260km with 5300Hm) come to us wrapped in thick rain jackets contrary. In about 2 hours we would have to fight through the rain, as long as there is no improvement in the weather would. Once in Triberg says once the driver and sports equipment to make clear, that is, move and install the front wheel. The question "wind jacket or wind jacket?" given the light rain and wet roads is also completely answered quickly: both. Just before 9 we roll clock (of course from the beginning ;-)) in the starting lineup as soon as possible and try to register our transponders, and then it're off. Udo decide in the short term because of adverse weather, but rather on the short "witches holes" to start and turn 50 meters after the start only one left Down to only 2 hours later to take the shorter round of attack. For Matt and me it's like going full throttle, the same pulse times at 180, after all, we want to forward. After about 1km, we see a group of about 20 drivers in the company of three official cars in front of us. Here we are correct: kop van de wedstrijd! The windbreaker is only opened once, but then somehow it is quite warm with the jacket. So it goes in a rapid pace for the first climb of the day that William level. Then follows a long early departure, in which I am glad to have me but then decided on the jacket: the rain is increasing and it is still chilly. Once in Elztal I start up the second Breakfast, after the experience from last year's Iceman I wanted to eat too much rather than too little. The pace is anything but standard RTF, here is cycling down. As Matt and I adjustement the pace at the top times at 35km / h, just start the attacks: 4 or 5 man drive away in front, including a driver with calves, which are thicker than my thighs. Matt makes me aware of the number 19, I say, let the ride anyway. No sooner are the 4 or 5 man is gone, rear entered the follow-up: A number and pace of 45-50! People, people, we have only 40 180 km and the candelabra and all other nasties are still yet to come. Shortly before Waldkirch are at least 3 of the 5 outliers again found behind it rips the box apart like at the start of the climb to Kandel: the very front 3 or 4 riders go in front position into the Kandel, behind number 19 and a driver from Hamburg. I let these two move, hold at least to the Hamburg eye contact. not on Bl0ß Kandel coat I had been inculcated in the run again, I go down even somewhat curbed in, but that after 3km I let my passion for cycling full run. It is simply fantastic. (The rain had now stopped) Despite the cold I had stowed the jacket in the jersey, wind vest and shirt open, pushed the arm warmers down. Matthias I see in one of the Go back about 45s behind me thinking about and maintain short, but then go on my rhythm. And this rhythm is quite fast: pulse at 175-180, if this is gonna work. After about 7km I have also shaken off my recent companion in front of me in my account 4 or 5 riders in front, then number 19 and then the hamburger, still in sight. And the hamburgers come slowly closer. Up on the Kandel not haze, visibility about 40-50m, luckily I know the departure. As planned, I am leaving the board, register and leave only my transponder. For the descent I decide against the jacket, the vest has rich. Unfortunately, the Hamburg increases in meals from the wheel to take a break so now I'm all alone on the road. Should I wait for Matt? I ride once more, in a prompt but not so fast that I could no longer be obtained. Matt was in my consideration about 2 minutes behind me, unfortunately I can not look ahead at the spot even when you look back any driver, not number 19 and not even Matt. Crap. In the departure of St. Märgen I get out, leave almost roll only, and at last when looking back I discover three drivers: is there Matt here? Yes, he is. Very good. The four of it goes to the Thurston: an increase in unpleasant to drive unrhythmical and some really crisp ramps. To me, the first time the idea of the Kandel to maybe have something very excessive. After about half an hour, but this increase is also scaled up and waiting for the second board. A brief look at number 19 catches, shortly before we left the board again, then quickly filled up the bottles, crumpled a tie and the shirt pockets filled with lying ready gel. Now it is time the sawtooth feared. In our group of four good-bye one other driver, so that we are now only three of us. The descent is disgusting: not particularly steep, wide street, a descent in which one has to work correctly, to be quick. Then the next ascent: a very disgusting thing, toxic short ramps (certainly up to 16%), for the first time I have real concerns that would take revenge by speed and the target set would be missed by six and a half hours. Eventually, however, this increase is over and it goes downhill again. The next increase is a real roller-top: only 3-4% slope, but the wind. In fine separations we consider third up the mountain, the tempo fluctuates so with 26-29km / h. Meanwhile, I feel a bit better, even if the increase does not hurt anyway. Shortly before reaching the "summit" I see a red jersey before us was the number 19? Unfortunately, I do not think it out: in the following departure, I must just wait for my colleagues, the red jersey again vanishes from view. Right out of the exit, it goes into the next rise, we get Kurt, won another club colleague, who had the "witches 'holes' tackled (bet, Kurt! ;-)). On a narrow and unpleasant bad road it goes down to Furtwangen. Finally again are a few drivers on the track: the riders and drivers of the "witches holes" are now traveling the same route. In Furtwangen there is then the first cola, a piece of brioche and on we go. Still, we face three long climbs. Our guide decides to his girlfriend, who at the "witches' holes" on the road is to drive against. This is Matt and I are alone, alone in the hunt after 19 numbers It goes through the beautiful Linachtal, I'm Matt's attention to the Linachtalsperre , much time must be! In the subsequent increase in I have to make all my skills as Edeldomestike and take Matt to my rear to get him to pilot on the increase. Nevertheless, we have the feeling to the driver of the "witches holes" fly by formally. Even a driver of the "Kandel round" is in the process is outdated and can not follow us. At the last board you share with us that we are so in fifth, sixth Postions. So just a quick tip Cola and on. After the exit is a flat piece on which I again take over the leadership, the style of a pair of driving time we pass one by one. On the last climb Matt takes over the lion's share of the leadership, I am a hard fight on, approaches suffer from leg cramps, but now I'm again fairly certain that we would crack the 6.5 hours. The last climb is a real bad guy, every time you think one is above, is a short descent and another wave. This helps me one time after another Matthias on one of these waves suddenly a red jersey in front of us: was the number 19? Yes, it was number 19 He can not follow us, by my reckoning, we were now in fourth and fifth position lie. After Schoenwald into is once again to overcome a last nasty stitch, then you head down to Triberg. I take on a slightly higher risk of departure and am a little faster than Matt, one more round in Triberg, then the rising home stretch on the large leaf in the lower link hinaufgesprintet. Matt comes shortly after me to the finish. A glance at the clock revealed: 6h 22min gross time. According to Udo, who has watched the finish line, 4th and 5th This performance launched Matt and I were referred to a cyclist. Kurt is also received and supplied with a cyclist, then it goes into the shower and back to Freiburg.
Final comments:
first Whom it may concern: the net journey time was 6h 15min, which corresponds to a distance of 183km at an average speed of 29.3 km / h.
second The exact placement can be determined unfortunately, since this year, no running lists of placement could be longer created. In Germany it is not allowed to perform a timing when driving on public, non-closed roads. Therefore, the organizer for this year was also forbidden to create a running list of placements. In my view, the super-silly scheme. In any other European country, it is obvious that in such a cycle marathon timing exists and, at least forward a real bike race is run (see also here ). I can save any further comment at this point.
third The GP Black Forest is a beautiful, well-organized event, which unfortunately suffers from the low number of participants. First, only 750 participants in total (all three lines) has accepted the appointment to another may be a bit inconvenient, since (at least this year) parallel to the Supercup in Bimbach held that much of the potential participants may be "deducted". That the two hardest climbs (Kandel and Thurner) very early in the profile are with, not necessarily to the fact that a larger field longer period of time together. The whole result is that one of large parts of the trail alone or on the road in small groups. Too bad.
was after all Trainigskilometern and shorter Jedermannrennen it yesterday then so far, with the GP Schwarzwald was a real endurance test on the way to the big highlight of the season "Ötztal Bike Marathon" on the program: 180km through the Black Forest with almost 3600 meters, including the supposedly most severe increase in the Black Forest, the candelabra.
